Executive presentation skills are not up to par. The average executive does not know how to present well.. They make rookie mistakes routinely. You might be able to get away with this as a Senior Manager, or a Director.
We have sat through thousands of managerial and executive presentations. Thousands. And only maybe 10 of them have been well done. That’s a shame, because persuasive presenting is a huge part of the executive’s communication responsibilities. But presenting is not a complex skill, nor one that requires deep training or understanding of principals. Frankly, it’s a lot like management: The average executive is a poor presenter. Even just mastering the basics can make you stand out.
