Hello to all! I just wanted to bring up a topic that may help those who are looking for a job and using online websites.

There are different types of websites out there:

classifieds/niche job boards: these job listings are directly posted on the site

job search engines (aggregators): popular ones are Indeed, SimplyHired, and Trovit.com

I believe it is best to go with a job search engine/ aggregator because it pulls from all the classifieds listings on the web without you having to do the dirty work! It would take endless hours to search all the websites out there! Once you get your job listings you can filter them so you get exactly what you were looking for.

Hope this helps and if anyone has a personal favorite let me know in a comment. I personally use Trovit.com because of the filters and the amount of listings available (over 3 million job listings currently), and of course because it's 100% free! :)

Happy job searching!

I have been a hiring manager in recent times and I frequently check job listings just to stay up to date with what's going on. I prefer to use sites that allow me to focus on my industry.

I prefer a combination of three sites. Dice.com seems to be pretty good for focusing on high-tech jobs. Also, I really like the search function on Monster, it allows me to put a search in my RSS reader for daily updates. Third, I use LinkedIn groups and their jobs section.
