Nuances of Negotiating in India

Will someone share their experiences regarding the nuances of negotiations in India? I will be traveling to Southern India next week to meet with a partner firm in the launch of a new product line. My company is already commited to this product line and more than 2 years of development is done. Now we are ready to attack the marketplace but there are some issues that need to be addressed/negotiated in order for the project to succeed. In contrast to what we read/hear about India, the "Westernization" has not generated the same types of changes in their manufcaturing sector as it has in the IT world. I suspect I will find myself surrounded by a much more traditional Indian culture and business accumen. Thanks, G.R.
